  Course Introduction

  The course is designed to expose Moodle users, online course developers, facilitators, educational designers and students working in both formal education settings and off-campus services to enough Moodle features, information, practical activities and exercises that will enable them to understand and use Moodle Course Management System (CMS), also known as Learning Management System (LMS) or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) environment.

  Similarly, it caters for those working in corporate environments: these include training and organizational development units and those industries operating online or through distributed learning networks.

  The objectives of the course are to enable participants to:

• Navigate Moodle Course Management System
• Display information on the Internet correctly
• Utilize Moodle tools and resources correctly
• Perform basic administrative functions

  Methodology

  The course will be delivered by means of the following:
  

• Fully online containing the subject material as well as several exercises and activities.
• Tertiary institutions facilitators/ lecturers.
• 1 hr. Zoom session per week.
  

  Assessment

  Students will be required to do:

• Thirty three tutor-marked assignments
• Three (3) peer graded assignments
• One (1) Self-graded assignment
